Differences DDR1 DDR2 DDR3

Maybe some of you still do not know what the difference of RAM DDR1 with DDR2 RAM, if you do not know yet I also learned just recently, to that for which you need to read this article carefully.difference of DDR1, DDR2, and DDR3 can be seen from the picture above ....The physical difference between types of memory on DDR with DDR2 the first type is the type of memory chip used. In DDR memory types, memory chip (IC) used on board is a memory module is a type TSOP (Thin Small-Outline Packege). The form is four square panjag with legs on the left and right. Rarely DDR memory module that uses a memory chip type BGA.
In the DDR2 memory type, the type of memory chip used is the type of BGA (Ball Grid Away). The form there are four long persei, those that square. But, unlike the TSOP type memory chips, the legs of the BGA type memory invisible to the eye as it is located under the chip and immediately and directly plugged into the memory module board.
Other physical differences that can be seen by naked eye is on the notch provided at the memory board in the golden finger alias memory slot connector on the motherboard. On this kind of DDR2 memory, this notch is located slightly more to the middle of the memory module board, while the DDR memory, this notch is located slightly toward the right side.
The difference is physically the last can be seen easily is the number of pins used. Pin DDR memory has as many as 184 units (92-pin on each side), while the DDR2 memory type has a smaller pin and solid numbers are 240 pieces (120-pin on each side).
In terms of speed, memory type DDR2 which is the lowest that has a clock speed of 200MHz (DDR2 400 or PC-3200), whereas DDR memory is a type that has a clock speed of 100MHz (DDR 200 or PC-1600). The highest type of DDR memory is supported officially by the JEDEC (Joint Electron Divice Engineering Council) or standardization body electronics and semiconductor industry is DDR 400 (PC-3200) DDR2 memory while the current was recorded as the DDR2 memory standard is DDR2 400 (PC-3200 ), DDR2 533 (PC-4300), DDR2 667 (PC-5300), and DDR2 800 (PC-6400).
In terms of performance, with the same clock speed, the system uses DDR memory types usually have relatively similar performance with a system that uses DDR2 memory. In many cases, instead of using DDR memory performance is better than DDR2. This is possible because the latency timings and DDR memory is better than DDR2 memory. But to return again. Memory type DDR nothing is produced faster than 600MHz, while the DDR2 is still pegged at kcepatan bsa far above it. Currently there are more new variants of RAM memory, which has a clock speed DDR3 is greater than the DDR2.
